Good evening,
Today was a non-event with mortgages improving 2 ticks in the am. All eyes are to Wednesday’s FOMC announcement with most speculating they will remove “considerable time” from their language describing when they will increase the overnight lending rate. Other economic indicators of interest this week are Tuesdays PPI (Producers Price Index) which indicates inflation / deflation at the producers level, Wednesdays CPI (Consumer Price Index), Thursday’s Jobless Claims and Friday’s Housing Starts.
Never put off today for what you might receive tomorrow – while current rates are not the best we have seen they may very well be the best we are going to see!
